About the Cast

Nicholas (he/him) has been in the entertainment industry ever since he graduated from UW-Green Bay back in 2017. Since then, he has gone on to tour with Missoula Children's Theatre, be a member of two fantasy podcasts, compose and premiere choral works, and now he is a New York City actor, musician, and teacher. His background in Music and Arts Management has made him an asset both on and off the stage as he has directed and music directed thousands of children all over the United States at such a young age. His past roles include Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, Princeton in Avenue Q, Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bernstein in Dogfight, and many other parts in dozens of other productions. Since moving to New York in September of 2021, he has been cast in the following projects: Warner Brothers' The Polar Express, an untitled Bernie Madoff documentary premiering on Netflix, Alexander the Great in Theater for the New City's Holiday in Heaven, and now Todd Robinson in True Confessions of the Straight Man. Lawrence Karl (he/him) is ecstatic to be able to join the cast of True Confessions of The Straight Man as John Bruno. Lawrence recently was seen working with Mosaic Dance Theater in Troy: Women and War. (Paris/Hector) as well as working on the play Godless in various theatre festivals like the Rogue Theatre Festival, Providence Theatre Festival, and The NYC Theatre Festival. He comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with some of his favorite stage credits including: Equus (Horse/Alan Strang u/s) with The Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Arriba! Arriba! The Roberto Clemente Story (Swing) with The Pittsburgh CLO, Newsies (Oscar Delancy) and The Little Mermaid (Ensemble) with Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, The Outsiders (Sodapop) and Of Mice And Men (Whit) with Primestage Theatre, Heathers the Musical (JD) with the Theatre Factory, and A Pirates Tale (Robert) with Shadows and Flames Productions. Other Regional Theatre credits include Pippin (Lewis) with Princeton Summer Theatre, the Edinburg Festival Fringe in a production of Dark North (Daniel DarkNorth) and an adaption of Electra: An American Gothic (Orestes). When Lawrence isn’t on the stage, he can be seen working on independent films like Massacre Academy (Tanner Hart), First Night of Summer (Larry), and background for various Netflix series. Megan Styrna (she/her) grew up in Chicago before moving to New York City in 2019. She attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and graduated during the height of the Covid pandemic in 2020. She was recognized for her work in Musical Theatre and classical voice at AMDA with three awards in the “On Location” showcase. Now she is a current full-time student at The New School. Scotty Kall (he/him) is an actor/performer based in the Big Apple. He graduated from Harvard, in the wonderful year that was 2020, with a degree in Sociology. While at Harvard, Scotty performed as a Hasty Pudding cast member for four years, where he played a gorgeous Italian seductress, a beauty pageant winner, a hunchback...and a gorgeous Italian PAINTING! He is currently doing double duty, performing in 'True Confessions of a Straight Man' here at the Laurie Beechman Theater and in 'The Importance of Being Earnest(ly) LGBTQ+' at the Actor's Temple Theater. Elise (she/her) is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and is an Actor, Improviser, & Teacher based in Astoria, Queens. BFA Musical Theatre LIU Post. Her recent Off-Broadway musical credits include starring as Louise DuSaunt in Beauty & the Beast at The Players Theatre, Old Woman/Sister 1 in Dracula: Lord of the Dark at the Vino Theatre, & she also starred in the devised work “Unchilding” at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Elise is a Professional Improviser and is a resident Actor/Company member of Theatre Nerds Murder Mysteries (theatrenerds.com) and Accomplice NYC (accomplicetheshow.com). She can be seen making up musicals on the spot at The Magnet Theatre and performs Musical Improv, Hip Hop Improv, & Long-Form/Short Form Improv in multiple Comedy Clubs around the city. Mitchell Todd (they/them) is a Brooklyn based actor originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They attended The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music for a BFA in musical theater. In school, they had the privilege to play Timothy in Sons of the Prophet, Frenchie in Cabaret, and Pinocchio in Shrek: the Musical. While in Boston they worked with Diane Paulus on The Donkey Show at The American Repertory theater. Mitchell is so excited to be in New York and joining this cast!

Hannah Ford (she/her) was born in California, grew up in Utah, and graduated this year from NYU Tisch where she studied musical theatre at the New Studio on Broadway and screen acting at Stonestreet Studios. Post-grad Hannah starred in Michael the Musical at the New York Theatre Festival where she was nominated for Best Singer. During college Hannah played roles such as Eurydice in The Pop-Up Players’ production of Antigone and Oona Crowe in New Studio’s A Man of No Importance. He spent four wonderful years in the Smoky Mountains, before graduating from Western Carolina University in the Spring of 2020 with his B.F.A in Musical Theatre. Some of his favorite past credits include Horton (Seussical), Lurch (The Addams Family), Garry Lejeune (Noises Off), and Bill Sikes (Oliver!). One fun fact about Bobby is that his sense of humor is dryer than a desert!
